Clinician Options

The following are clinician settings accessible after unlocking device.  While on stand-by mode (display 0.0), hold Middle button down until CPAP or APAP is displayed on screen.  Then hold Up arrow and Down arrow at the same time until screen displays Unloc

  • What is CPAP mode?  Treatment at a fixed pressure throughout the entire night.  

  • What is APAP mode?  Treatment which automatically adjusts pressure to maintain upper airway patency.  

  • What is Z-Breathe?  Provides pressure relief on exhalation to deliver more comfortable therapy.  1 provides mild relief, 2 provides moderate relief, and 3 provides maximum relief.

  • How to set Mode and Z-Breathe?     Press and hold the Up arrow and Down arrow at the same time until screen flashes.  Press Up or Down arrow to select Mode followed by desired Z-Breathe setting.  Press and hold the Start/Stop button to save selection.                                           Options: CPAP - 1, CPAP - 2, CPAP - 3                                                  APAP - 1, APAP - 2, APAP - 3

  • How to set Pressure in CPAP mode?     Press and hold the Up arrow and Down arrow at the same time until screen flashes.  Press Up or Down arrow to select Mode followed by desired Z-Breathe setting.  Press and hold the Start/Stop button to save selection.                                           Options: CPAP - 1, CPAP - 2, CPAP - 3                                                  APAP - 1, APAP - 2, APAP - 3 

  • What is Z-Breathe?  Provides pressure relief on exhalation to deliver more comfortable therapy.  1 provides mild relief, 2 provides moderate relief, and 3 provides maximum relief.  Options: 1, 2, 3

  • How to change Z-Breathe settings?  Press and hold the Up and Down arrow buttons at the same time until the screen flashes and release the buttons.    Then press the Up or Down buttons to increase or decrease setting and hold the middle button to save it.

  • Recommendation:  Start with default setting of 2.  If you need more exhalation pressure relief, increase to 3.  If the pressure swing is too much, decrease to 1.

  • What is Ramp Pressure?  The start pressure at the beginning of the ramp time.                                                 Options: 4.0 - treatment pressure in CPAP mode - 0.5                          4.0 - low pressure in AUTO mode - 0.5

  • How to change Ramp Pressure?  Press and hold the Down arrow button until the ramp start pressure flashes. Then press the up and down arrow to increase or decrease setting and hold the middle button to save it. 

  • Recommendation: Start on default of 4.0.  If you feel the pressure is too low in the beginning, consider increasing ramp pressure or turning ramp off.

  • What is Ramp Time?  The time period (in minutes) which the pressure increases from a low pressure to the prescribed treatment pressure.                                                      Options:  0 - 45 min (5 min increments)

  • How to change Ramp Time? Press and hold the Up arrow until "00 MINUTES" flashes.  Press the Up or Down arrows to increase or decrease ramp time.  Press and hold the middle button to save the setting.  

  • Recommendation: Start on default of OFF (displayed 00 MINUTES).  If you feel the pressure is increasing too fast, consider increasing ramp time to however long it normal takes you to fall asleep or longer if needed for comfort.
